Horses who are unlucky can often catch everyone by surprise and win or place at one of their next few starts at bolter's odds. That is just what you want for quinellas, trifectas and first four.

Please note:

Here are some of the unlucky horses from Rosehill and Flemington on Saturday, November 22.

Randwick:
Svenska - wide run
Destiny's Dream - wide run, lame
Kingside - badly held up in the straight
Viking Tor - badly held up rounding the home turn and in the straight
Sunshine Sam - no clear run on the home turn or the straight, reluctant to take a very narrow opening, should have won
Dial Tones - missed the start by four lengths, checked off heels on the home turn

Caulfield:
 Coraticum - checked on jumping
Choreograph - shuffled back to last on the home turn
Noble Win - tightened after the start, checked at the 200
Chairman's Choice - wide throughout
Sizzie 'Em - nearly fell early in the straight
Umagold - held up on the home turn
