Horse Racing Betting Odds Betting facts from Caulfield, Saturday, 17th. April. Three kilos claiming apprentice Taylor Lovelock-Wiggins rode $3.00 favourite Flokkati which finished 7/9 in R1 and $3.90 favourite Gibraltar Moon which finished 6/9 in R5. Another three kilos claiming apprentice, Jake Noonan, rode $3.20 favourite Bird Of Fire which finished 2/8 in R4 and $4.00 favourite Nicastro which finished 9/11 in R7. Experienced jockey Danny Brereton also rode two poorly performing favourites. They were $4.00 favourite Beltrois which finished 13/16 in R6 and $3.10 favourite Avionics which finished last of 12 in R8. These two poorly performing horses were both trained by Robbie Griffiths. Lee Freedman also trained two favourites which failed to win. They were Gibraltar Moon and the supposed "good thing" of the day, Savarain, ridden by Nicholas Hall, which started at $1.65 in R3 and finished a well beaten third of nine. Tibooburra Travis, which started at $20.00 and paid best tote odds of $34.00 won the race. It was the winner at biggest odds for the meeting. It was trained by Chris Hyland and ridden by Brian Park. James Winks rode a treble at the meeting, winning in R1, R2 and R4. The horses were Bullbars $8.50, The Fugitive $8.00 and Reverend Lovejoy $6.00. While Robert Smerdon trained a double.
