23/2/2013 edition The Beaten Favourite Horse Racing Betting System This quick pick horse racing betting system selection method aims to find value odds after a favourite was beaten early in its campaign.The aim is to get good odds betting on a horse that had plenty of betting money on it when it was a first up or second up favourite. The horse should also be fitter when we get on. It's also great fun backing a beaten favourite which wins at good odds knowing you weren't on it when it lost at the poorer odds. Here are the rules. 1. The horse must have been the bookmaker betting ring favourite or equal favourite. 2. The horse was either first up or second up from a spell. 3. The horse finished no further than four lengths from the winner unless it suffered interference in the race. (You can find this out from any good form guide or stewards' reports which are available free on the internet.) 4. Back the horse at its next start in its current campaign provided you get at least $5.00 and those odds are more than when the horse was a beaten favourite.
