Moonee Valley Cox Plate Quick Pick Horse Betting System

With the spotlight shifting to Moonee Valley and the Cox Plate this week what better than a quick pick selection method for Moonee Valley which is very much a specialists' track.

Here are the rules:

1. For each race list all the horses who have won at least twice at Moonee Valley

2. Now eliminate every horse that has a win strike rate below 25% at Moonee Valley.

3. You now have your selections for each race.

4. If there is more than one qualifier in a race then back the horse with the best win strike rate at Moonee Valley. For example, a horse with two wins from four starts at the track has a 50% win strike rate at the track and would be backed in preference to a horse with four wins from 10 starts at the track because that is only a 40% win strike rate at the track.

4. Do avoid short prices.

5. If odds allow you might choose to back more than one horse in a race.

There are plenty of modifications you can make with this betting method. For example, you might include a rule covering strike rates at the distance.
