August, 2003: Legend Of Ace Manang Once again, punters betting Damien Oliver's mounts under $10.00 on SuperTab obtained significantly worse odds than punters who took bookmaker odds. Fancy taking $6.50 about a $10.00 winner? For just a $10 bet that costs you $35, and $350 on a $100 bet. New South Wales tote punters fared even worse, getting just $5.60. The two most important factors for win betting are: 1. The horses backed. They are probably of equal importance. Win betting on horses is all about odds. If you consistently take poor odds on good selections well in the betting market, then it is not possible to win. You cannot take $5.60 about a horse that starts at $10.00. On Saturdays in Melbourne and Sydney the leading jockeys' horses are usually no value on the tote when below $10.00. Back them on your local tote at your own risk.
