12/1/2013 edition Horse Racing Wagering Betting Tips Wagering backmarkers - get value for your dollar Horses that do not race on the pace need more luck in their races than on pace runners. This means to win at racing you must take better odds about theese horses than you would for an on pace horse with similar form. It's bad enough when punters get hit by a nasty surprise, such as your horse that normally leads or races on the speed missing the start, settling near the tail of the field and storming home but not winning. Or maybe the jockey panics a little and so uses plentuy of the horse's energy up early by pushing hard for the lead after missing the start. Little wonder when the horse weakens at the end of the race. But if, for example, you know a 3YO filly taking on the older mares in Class 6 company over 1300 metres in a field of 15 at Eagle Farm is a backmarker and showing tote odds of only $2.50, it will be no surprise to see that filly plenty of times never get into the race. So why take $2.50? You need a 40% winning strike rate with those types of bets just to break even! Eliminate poor value bets like that and punters must make a much better return on their betting turnover. Lucky Lil's FREE horse racing tips CONTINUE TO WIN BIG!
