 Horse Racing Betting Tips

Amazing form reversal

Arrogant Ladd won a 1900 metres restricted event at Rosehill after an absolute shocker 17 days earlier when he was beaten by 31 lengths.

Here are some clues to finding him:
1. He was dropping in weight by 3.5kg. to only 53kg.
2. He only had four placings from 14 starts on Good rated tracks.
3. He had four wins and two placings on Dead to Slow going.
4. The Rosehill track was Slow.
5. His last run on a Slow track was March 11. He won that race, the Orange Gold Cup by over five lengths.
6. On December 16 last year he was only beaten by four lengths in a Listed race at Rosehill on a Good track, conditions that do not suit him.

Even so, it is hard to really support with any confidence a horse that was beaten out of site at his most recent start. Having found one of those horses we would certainly not recommend anything more than a very small bet, if you must bet on them!

Interstate jockeys clean up

Last Saturday at Morphettville on the first day of the Carnival, interstate jockeys had a picnic. From the eight races Kerrin McEvoy rode a treble. Other winning interstate jockeys were Damien Oliver, Brett Prebble and Jim Cassidy. Worth noting, because the majority of Adelaide jockeys are kilos inferior to the visitors.
