6/9/2002 edition Spring Carnival Caulfield: Telford is back Point Danger looks good Strategic Image could be surprise packet Having his first run in nearly a year, he finished a close fifth in the strong 1100 metres sprint after not having much luck in the straight. Dash For Cash is fit This classy performer has now had three runs in, is fit and ready to win. He put in a big effort in the Group 2 Weight For Age Memsie Stakes. The Secondmortgage is ready Over the 1700 metres at Caulfield he made plenty of late ground. He also looks ready to win. Rosehill: Fair Embrace - massive run First up in mares listed company she put in a huge run and was only beaten by the 61kg. Look out for her under better weight conditions. Lady Cay is back Also first up in the same race, after getting well back, she didn't have much luck in the straight. She still finished a very close third.
This John Hawkes' trained 4YO gelding resumed in the Group 3 Concorde Stakes. He hit the line hard after some inconvenience at the 100 for a close finish behind the likes of Fouardee and Century Kid. Fouardee is classy First up he was a convincing winner of the Group 3 Concorde Stakes. This 5YO horse took a while to mature. He could be in for a big Spring Carnival.
